At the height of the Second World War, the Nazi Occult Society known as the Ahnenerbe are tricked by an ancient secret society into performing a ritual they have no way of understanding. Their ritual inadvertently releases something condemned to remain forever banished from the world of light and sanity. As the aftermath from the ritual begins to alter the very fabric of reality around the ancient German castle of Wewelsburg, the Allied Office of Strategic Services desperately seeks help. They recruit an expert at debunking the supernatural, along with his most gifted student, and send them on a mission into the darkest chapter of European history.
